ICI SEEKS LOOKOUT ORDER ON MARTIN, CHIZ, JINGGOY, AND JOEL IN FLOOD CONTROL INVESTIGATION

The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) has requested an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against over two dozen current and former lawmakers and officials involved in an investigation into irregularities in flood control projects.

The request, sent to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, names figures including former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Senators Chiz Escudero, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla Jr., and Senator Joel Villanueva.

The ICI aims to prevent these individuals from leaving the country while the probe continues, citing their key roles in the alleged anomalous infrastructure spending.

The commission also summoned Romualdez and former representative Zaldy Co to testify on budget insertions related to the flood control projects.

The Department of Justice has yet to decide whether to approve the lookout order amid its leadership transition.
