IAN VENERACION CONSIDERS LEGAL ACTION OVER TALENT FEE DISPUTE

The camp of Actor Ian Veneracion is exploring legal options against writer-director Ronaldo Carballo for online defamation over a disagreement about Veneracion’s talent fee, according to the camp’s statement sent exclusively to INQUIRER.net.

Carballo claimed on Facebook that Veneracion demanded P500,000 for a project. Veneracion’s management strongly denied the allegation, calling it “malicious” and an attempt to “publicly humiliate” the actor. They emphasized their policy of confidentiality and transparency in business dealings, which they believe Carballo violated.

Attempts by Veneracion’s team to clarify the situation directly with Carballo were unsuccessful as he allegedly blocked them on social media. This, combined with the perceived online defamation, has led Veneracion’s camp to consider legal action.

The statement stresses that reaching “mutually agreeable terms” is standard practice in business deals and should not be used to undermine an artist’s worth. Further developments in the dispute are expected.
