Herlene Budol, known as Hipon Girl, has voiced her dismay after finding herself embroiled in a showbiz controversy involving alleged intimate conversations with her “Magandang Dilag” co-star Rob Gomez. While not explicitly confirming the authenticity of the leaked conversations, Budol addressed the situation and lamented the creation of “made-up” issues that have affected her dedication to her work.
In a post on her X page on Wednesday, December 20, Budol questioned why she was being dragged into the matter, stating, “Oh, showbiz! Even when you’re dedicated to your job, people will create issues about you!” She also recalled previous rumors of her pregnancy during her time as a host on the variety game show “Wowowin,” alluding to the recent pregnancy scare mentioned in the leaked conversations with Gomez.
In a sarcastic tone, Budol jokingly asked, “What’s next? Will I get pregnant again on ‘Black Rider’?” referring to her current project on GMA TV.
The leaked conversation screenshots, which have since been deleted, also involved discussions between Gomez and Budol about their meetings and the possibility of Gomez reconciling with the mother of his daughter, dentist-beauty queen Shaila Rebortera.
Actress-beauty queen Bianca Manalo was also implicated in the controversy, as alleged messages from her to Gomez were made public alongside Budol’s. As of now, Manalo has not yet commented on the issue.
Gomez, on the other hand, stated that he is still without his phone and did not disclose who currently possesses it or who accessed his social media accounts.
