HEARTBREAK FOR GRIZZLIES: JA MORANT’S SEASON CUT SHORT BY DEVASTATING SHOULDER INJURY

Memphis Grizzlies’ guard Ja Morant will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder after suffering a subluxation during a training session, revealing an underlying labral tear, as announced by the team on Monday.

The 24-year-old is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.

Morant, who previously faced suspension for displaying a firearm in a live-streamed video, made a strong comeback, leading the Grizzlies to four consecutive wins upon his return and earning the Western Conference Player of the Week title.

In his nine games this season, Morant averaged 25.1 points and 8.1 assists. Despite his contributions, Memphis currently holds a 13-23 record, placing 13th in the Western Conference.
