Former president and Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo denied reports that she is seeking the ouster of Speaker Faustino Dy III.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Arroyo categorically rejected the allegations and said she continues to support Dy’s leadership in the House of Representatives.
She also said their political alliance, which began with Dy’s late father, remains unchanged.
The denial came after reports linking her to an alleged move to remove Dy from his post.
Dy became Speaker after Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez resigned from the position seven months ago.
