Former PNP chief Oscar Albayalde stated that President Marcos was not on the Duterte administration’s drug watchlist, dismissing a recently released video allegedly showing Marcos using illegal drugs as fake.
Albayalde acknowledged he hadn’t seen the entire drug watchlist, describing it as extensive.
He also commented on the ongoing International Criminal Court (ICC) investigation into alleged extrajudicial killings during Duterte’s war on drugs, noting he would only cooperate if instructed by the Department of Justice.
While admitting some abuses occurred, Albayalde emphasized they were addressed, citing the prosecution of officers involved in the killing of Kian Loyd delos Santos.
He asserted that the PNP is pro-life and does not justify killings, criticizing the ICC’s involvement in the Philippines’ internal affairs.
