FIVE BLACK HAWKS JOIN PAF FOR DISASTER AND SECURITY MISSIONS

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has received five new S-70i Black Hawk helicopters, boosting its fleet under the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program.

The aircraft, delivered on July 15, 2025, was formally accepted during a ceremony at the Haribon Hangar in Clark Air Base, Pampanga.

They are part of a 32-unit acquisition from Poland’s PZL Mielec, with earlier batches arriving in June and December 2024.

After passing stringent technical inspections, the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing will deploy the helicopters for missions ranging from disaster response to troop and cargo transport.

Known for their versatility and reliability, the Black Hawks enhance the PAF’s operational readiness for national security and humanitarian operations.
