The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Central Visayas assured the public that prices of basic commodities remain stable and supplies are sufficient in Cebu and Bohol amid the Middle East conflict.
Monitoring by the agency showed that supermarkets, grocery stores, and other retail outlets continue to report adequate stocks of essential goods.
Retailers are complying with Suggested Retail Prices (SRPs), helping keep commodities affordable for consumers.
DTI-7 urged the public to stay calm and avoid panic buying, noting that supply and distribution channels remain stable.
The agency said it will continue monitoring the market and coordinating with retailers and local governments, while consumers are encouraged to report any unfair trade practices.
