The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expanding access to social protection programs through its Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas (PBP) initiative in selected regions.
PBP hubs in SM malls bring government services closer to vulnerable families and provide financial and non-monetary assistance.
During the initial rollout, the DSWD recorded 1,092 inquiries, profiled 655 individuals, and referred 124 clients to appropriate services.
The hubs use PhilSys authentication and digital profiling to connect beneficiaries with services based on their needs.
The DSWD plans to continue mobile hub operations and evaluate the program for possible nationwide improvements.
