Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla confirmed there is currently no International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant of arrest for Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
He emphasized that the Department of Justice has not prepared for any such move and will address the situation if and when it arises.
Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, however, said ICC arrest warrants against dela Rosa and Senator Bong Go could be issued as early as early 2026.
The ICC prosecutors have linked dela Rosa to alleged drug war killings during former President Duterte’s administration.
Dela Rosa is reportedly cited as a co-conspirator, based on his past statements and involvement in anti-drug operations.
