Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc of Ilocos Norte officially accepted the hosting rights for the 2025 Palarong Pambansa during the event’s closing ceremony in Cebu City.
He arrived to observe Cebu’s hosting logistics and expressed his determination to make Ilocos Norte’s hosting unique despite its less developed infrastructure compared to Cebu.
Manotoc’s team inspected playing venues and aims to establish Ilocos Norte as a sports tourism hub, promising to showcase Ilocano hospitality.
Meanwhile, the 2026 games will rotate to Mindanao, with Zamboanga City, Agusan del Norte, and Misamis Oriental vying to host.
