The Department of Education (DepEd) has expanded the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) nationwide to support youth amid rising fuel and commodity prices.
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara said the initiative aims to bring government services and employment opportunities closer to Senior High School and Alternative Learning System graduates.
The fair, launched in Quezon City, involved over 20 private companies offering job openings and provided free government clearances, including police and NBI clearances and PhilHealth registration.
So far, 1,428 graduates have accessed employment-related services, and 300 learners were hired on the spot in pilot schools across Metro Manila, Sorsogon, Cebu, and Davao del Norte.
The nationwide rollout plans to hold the BPSF in two schools per region, helping graduates improve employability and easing the impact of the ongoing economic pressures.
