They also addressed concerns about the New People’s Army recruitment in educational institutions.
President Marcos has ordered agencies to investigate these incidents and enforce child protection policies.
DepEd is considering establishing a crisis management committee to better respond to school violence, while emphasizing the critical role of parents in preventing and addressing these issues.
DepEd Assistant Secretary Jocelyn Andaya highlighted that tackling school violence requires a collective societal effort, with parents actively involved in their children’s lives.
