The Commission on Audit (CoA) shared its expertise in auditing Gender and Development (GaD) funds with a 32-member delegation from Cambodia, led by Ing Kantha Phavi, during a study visit on October 8 in Quezon City.
CoA Chairman Gamaliel Cordoba emphasized the importance of the visit for strengthening regional partnerships to promote gender equality and inclusive governance in Asia.
The delegation learned about the application of Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) in the Philippines, with discussions led by CoA’s GaD Focal Point System Technical Working Group.
Phavi expressed gratitude for the insights gained on GRB implementation, including capacity development and gender auditing tools.
Organized by the United Nations Development Programme, the visit highlighted CoA’s role as a pioneer in the audit of GaD funds and its commitment to enhancing audit practices.
