President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. inaugurated the Camalaniugan-Aparri Bridge in Cagayan on Thursday, January 8, joined by local officials and DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon.
The ceremony included a blessing and the unveiling of the bridge’s official markings.
Marcos highlighted the bridge’s role in easing travel and boosting trade in northern Cagayan, providing a faster, more direct route for residents, motorists, and businesses.
The P2-billion bridge spans 2.16 kilometers and can carry loads of up to 45 tons.
He also commended the DPWH for completing the project despite various challenges.
