BUCOR GRANTS HOLIDAY STAY-IN PRIVILEGES FOR PDL FAMILIES

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has granted stay-in privileges for families of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) during the holiday season. 

Regular visiting hours are from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., while stay-in visits are scheduled in two batches: December 24, 8 a.m. to December 25, 7 a.m., and December 25, 8 a.m. to December 26, 7 a.m.; as well as December 31, 8 a.m. to January 1, 7 a.m., and January 1, 8 a.m. to January 2, 7 a.m. 

BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. stated that this arrangement allows more families to participate while maintaining order within the facilities. 

The initiative underscores the significance of family ties in the rehabilitation process of PDLs, providing them with meaningful connections during the festive period.
