BREAKTHROUGH VICTORY: AU DEFEATS SSC-R IN NCAA SEASON 100

Arellano University broke its four-game losing streak in the NCAA Season 100 men’s basketball tournament by defeating San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 87-73, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre on Sunday.

T-mc Ongotan led the Chiefs with a career-high 21 points, along with five rebounds and five assists.

Coach Chico Manabat expressed relief as his team maintained control of the game, especially in the fourth quarter, where they achieved their largest lead of 17 points.

Lorenz Capulong contributed a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Cyril Hernal and Troy Valencia added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

With this victory, Arellano improved to a 1-4 win-loss record, while San Sebastian suffered its third consecutive loss, dropping to 2-3.
