BANAC APPOINTED AS NEW PNP COMMANDER FOR WESTERN MINDANAO

Police Maj. Gen. Bernard Banac has been appointed as the head of the Area Police Command-Western Mindanao (APC-WM) in a reshuffle affecting six senior officers in the Philippine National Police (PNP). 

Banac, previously leading the Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR), will assume his new role on July 2, likely earning a promotion to Police Lieutenant General. 

He takes over from Police Lt. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, who is now the commander of APC-Southern Luzon. Other notable changes include Police Maj. Gen. Mafelino Bazar became the officer-in-charge of the Directorate for Information and Communications 

Technology Management (DICTM), and Police Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba taking charge of the DPCR. Police Brig. Gen. Jerich Royales and Police Brig. Gen. Neri Vincent Ignacio also received new assignments in the reshuffle.
