The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) is calling for a full investigation and the arrest of the remaining suspects in the kidnapping and killing of Filipino-Chinese businessman Anson Que and his driver, Armanie Pabillo.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested three suspects, including a Chinese national, but two other key suspects remain at large.
PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Marbil announced that the case has been solved, describing it as a calculated kidnap-for-hire operation orchestrated by Chinese national David Tan Liao.
The FFCCCII and other groups, including Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), have praised the PNP for its swift actions but urged continued efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects and ensure justice.
Lawmakers, including Speaker Martin Romualdez and Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, have also commended the PNP’s handling of the case, emphasizing the importance of holding all involved accountable.
