Aurora Gaming Philippines captured their first M7 World Championship title last month in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a historic milestone since joining the Philippine Mobile Legends Bang Bang pro scene in 2024.
The victory also served as redemption for players Edward “Edward” Dapadap, coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani, and manager Elrasec “Boss Rada” Ocampo, who suffered a 0-4 defeat at the same venue during the M4 World Championship under Blacklist International.
The team credited nostalgia and familiarity with the venue, routines, and past experiences as a key advantage in securing their win.
Ocampo, Dapadap, and Jiandani said lessons learned from previous losses helped them adjust strategies and maximize their upper bracket advantage at M7.
With MPL Philippines Season 17 on the horizon, Aurora Gaming aims to build on their M7 success and maintain consistency to contend for the national title.
