Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), has been deemed a “fugitive” by a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) official after authorities were unable to locate him during an attempt to serve an arrest warrant.
NBI Southeastern Mindanao chief Archie Albao stated that Quiboloy’s whereabouts remain uncertain, although he is believed to still be in the Philippines based on immigration records.
Albao emphasized that under the law, failure to be apprehended warrants the classification of “fugitive from justice.”
Negotiations are ongoing between the NBI and Quiboloy’s camp for his surrender. In related developments, two more individuals implicated in child and sexual abuse cases involving Quiboloy surrendered to authorities and posted bail.
This brings the total number of co-accused released on bail to five, while another was arrested.
Quiboloy’s lawyer has vowed to exhaust all legal options, alleging persecution by influential figures. Quiboloy, meanwhile, has denied the accusations, attributing them to personal motives.
