ANTIQUE’S UNREGISTERED RESIDENTS GET BIRTH CERTIFICATES THROUGH PSA

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) aims to register 13,876 Antique residents under its Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).

PSA-Antique Chief Randy Tacogdoy said the beneficiaries, identified by local civil registrars and village officials, mostly live in remote areas with limited access to registration services.

As of Jan. 30, PSA has registered 3,852 individuals and issued free birth certificates to 2,458. The initiative prioritizes Indigenous Peoples, including the Iraynon Bukidnon community, to ensure legal identity and nationality.

Tacogdoy urged parents to register their children early for official documentation.
