According to a recent survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) in December 2023, a staggering 87% of Filipino adults have personally felt the effects of climate change.
The survey included face-to-face interviews with 1,200 Filipino adult respondents.
The survey revealed that 43% experienced a moderate impact, 24% felt a little impact, 19% faced a significant impact, and 13% reported no impact at all.
Moreover, the survey highlighted that 88% of Filipinos perceive climate change as a significant threat to their physical health, while only 12% believe otherwise.
These findings underscore the widespread concern and acknowledgment of the dangers posed by climate change among the Filipino population.
