Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri assumes the role of Chair of the Senate Committee on Economic Affairs after stepping down as Senate President, while Senator Mark Villar takes over as Chair of the Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises.
Senator Alan Cayetano now chairs the Senate Committees on Trade and Industry, as well as Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education, with Senator Pia Cayetano leading the Energy Committee and Senator Grace Poe heading the Finance Committee.
Other new committee chairs include Senator Sonny Angara for Justice and Human Rights, Senator Nancy Binay for Sustainable Development Goals, Innovation, and Future Thinking, and Senator Raffy Tulfo for Public Services. #
Additionally, Senator Imee Marcos takes over as Chair of the Urban Planning, Housing, and Resettlement Committee, among other changes in committee leadership roles.
