UNYIELDING ADAMSON CLINCHES 12TH STRAIGHT SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Adamson University dominated the University of the Philippines, 4-0, on Saturday, securing their 12th consecutive UAAP softball championship at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

Led by Finals MVP Glory Alonzo, who allowed just one hit in a stellar performance, the Lady Falcons claimed their 21st overall title, tying with FEU for the most successful program in UAAP softball history.

Adamson had won the series opener 6-3 on April 1, with key contributions from Roma Cruz and Mae Langga.

Coach Ana Santiago emphasized Alonzo’s redemption after a challenging first game, motivating her to bounce back and lead her team to victory.

Rookie Jhaycel Roldan, who delivered crucial hits, was named Finals MVP, while UP’s Nickole Dela Cruz earned top player honors for the season.
