As the official campaign period starts, 12 candidates lead the Senate race based on the latest Pulse Asia survey. ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo tops the poll with 62.8%, followed by Sen. Bong Go (50.4%), former Senate president Vicente Sotto III (50.2%), Ben Tulfo (46.2%), Sen. Pia Cayetano (46.1%), and Sen. Bong Revilla (46%).
Completing the top 12 are Sen. Imee Marcos (43.2%), former senator Panfilo Lacson (42.4%), television host Willie Revillame (41.9%), Sen. Ronald dela Rosa (41.2%), outgoing Makati Mayor Abby Binay (41.1%), and former senator Manny Pacquiao (40.6%).
The survey, conducted from Jan. 18 to 25 with 2,400 respondents, has a ±2% margin of error.
Meanwhile, Agri party-list Rep. Wilbert Lee withdrew from the Senate race, reducing the number of candidates to 65, though his name will remain on the ballot.
