Tiffany Reyes delivered a clutch game-winning jumper to lead Gilas Pilipinas U16 to a 77-75 victory over South Korea in the 2025 FIBA U-16 Women’s Asia Cup on September 24 in Malaysia.
Celebrating her 15th birthday, Reyes scored 16 points, including four three-pointers, and contributed rebounds and blocks to help secure the team’s first win of the tournament.
Despite the team’s early struggles, Reyes credited her teammates and coach Pat Aquino for giving her confidence during crunch time.
Reyes, daughter of former PBA player Jay-R Reyes, has developed her skills through training in Cincinnati, USA, and under local coach Paolo Gorospe.
The Gilas U16 squad will next face China on September 26, aiming for a semifinal spot.
