The Senate unanimously adopted a resolution commending the Philippine men’s volleyball team, Alas Pilipinas, for their historic 19th-place finish in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship.
Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano highlighted the team’s achievement as a source of national pride and proof that Filipino athletes can excel with proper support.
The resolution also praised standout players like captain Bryan Bagunas and Marck Espejo, and credited the coaching staff and reforms by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation.
