Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick Gregorio submitted documents to the National Bureau of Investigation as part of its probe into alleged irregularities in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The records were submitted in response to an NBI subpoena seeking documents from the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc).
The NBI is investigating alleged anomalies involving the New Clark City Sports Complex in Tarlac, which was built for the Games.
The bureau has formed a task force and will coordinate with the BCDA, Commission on Audit, and Securities and Exchange Commission.
The NBI may also summon former Phisgoc chairman Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano over questions on the handling and liquidation of public funds used for the event.
