DENGUE CASES RISE TO 93,155 THIS YEAR

The Department of Health reported 93,155 dengue cases nationwide from Jan. 4 to Aug. 1, down 46 percent from the same period in 2025.

Dengue deaths also fell to 386 from 699 last year.

Central Luzon recorded the most cases with 16,057, followed by Metro Manila with 10,611 and Calabarzon with 10,320.

Several areas breached the epidemic threshold, prompting health authorities to urge local governments to take immediate action.

The DOH reminded the public to remove mosquito breeding sites by flipping, shaking, drying, and covering water containers.
