The UAAP and Akari have announced a historic partnership to build a state-of-the-art arena in Pasig, set to be completed by 2027, marking a significant milestone for Philippine sports.
The new “Home of the UAAP” will be a 6,000-seater facility dedicated to hosting the league’s indoor events, with additional offices and commercial spaces.
UAAP Executive Director Rebo Saguisag emphasized that the arena will be a home for student-athletes to compete, grow, and thrive.
Akari’s CEO Christopher Tiu highlighted the project’s role in supporting grassroots sports development in the Philippines.
The facility, which will also be available for use by other leagues and national athletes, symbolizes the UAAP’s commitment to unity and excellence in sports.
