ROMUALDEZ URGES IBP TO UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION, AND THE RULE OF LAW, AND PROTECT THE VULNERABLE

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez urged lawyers to uphold the Constitution, justice, and the rule of law while protecting those who cannot afford legal services.

Speaking at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines’ 20th National Convention in Cebu City, he emphasized that justice should be a right for all, not a privilege for the powerful.

He called on legal professionals to demonstrate courage in defending the law, especially when facing challenges such as technological disruptions and the misuse of legal systems.

Romualdez stressed that lawyers are not just advocates for clients but stewards of justice and guardians of the nation’s moral compass.

He assured that the House of Representatives remains committed to working alongside the legal profession to ensure that justice is accessible to every Filipino.
