Senator Imee Marcos has called for the full public release of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) final report, citing the need for transparency in addressing alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
She stressed that the report, along with supporting documents and transcripts, should be made accessible to provide proper context and accountability.
Marcos criticized the withholding of key documents, warning it could undermine public trust, and questioned the purpose of the ICI if its findings remain hidden.
The commission has completed its mandate, with findings submitted to the Department of Justice and the Office of the Ombudsman for further action.
Marcos emphasized that public disclosure is essential to ensure accountability and restore confidence in the government’s handling of flood control issues.
