The 2024 Thai drama film “How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies,” directed by Pat Boonnitipat, has become a major hit across Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.
Starring Putthipong “Billkin” Assaratanakul and Usha Seamkhum, the film follows a university dropout who learns the deeper values of life and family while caring for his terminally ill grandmother.
Released in Thailand on April 4, the film grossed 250 million baht in 14 days and became the highest-grossing Thai movie of the year.
Its success spread to Indonesia and Singapore, breaking box office records.
The film, praised for its relatability and heartfelt narrative, continues to captivate audiences in the Philippines, where it is the highest-grossing Thai movie shown in SM Cinemas.
