Despite being cut short due to heavy rain, Quezon City’s Pride Festival was deemed a success with over 200,000 attendees.
Co-organized by Pride PH and the Quezon City government, the “Love Laban 2 Everyone” festival celebrated the LGBTQ community.
The event ended early as rain compromised the electrical and sound systems, but organizers praised the strong turnout and community support. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte highlighted the festival’s success, noting it surpassed the target attendance and drew participation from international diplomats.
The festival also featured special graduation rites for 394 LGBTQ students who had been excluded from their schools’ ceremonies due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.
