Starting today, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) is enforcing the “no plate, no travel” policy for tricycles in Quezon City, following the signing of a memorandum by LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II.
This policy, based on Section 18 of Republic Act 4136, mandates that all tricycle drivers and operators in Quezon City must display valid and authorized license plates.
The memorandum emphasized compliance with road safety regulations and required license plates to be visibly and securely attached to tricycles at all times.
Mendoza warned that tricycles operating without proper license plates will face apprehension, with drivers and operators subject to fines and penalties as per existing laws and regulations.
