Quezon City will debut its revamped Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League team, now called the Black Bulls, this Friday at the Caloocan Sports Complex under new owner JC Tan and head coach Jayv Olea.
The squad combines city homegrown talents with seasoned pros, led by returning PBA player Rey Publico and rising star Pat Buena.
In pre-season play, the youthful team impressed with wins over veteran MPBL squads and strong showings in invitational tournaments in Japan and Indonesia.
The Black Bulls aim to develop their young core while staying competitive, with a focus on teamwork, character, and passion for the game.
Quezon City opens the season on the road against the powerhouse Caloocan Batang Kankaloo, with all MPBL games broadcast on Solar Sports and online platforms.
