The quad committee of the House of Representatives has issued an arrest order for Mylah Roque, the wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, amid an investigation into alleged illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
The arrest follows her contempt citation for repeatedly ignoring committee hearings despite multiple invitations.
Mylah Roque is linked to a lease agreement with Chinese nationals associated with a POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac, where arrests were made during a raid on a property owned by a subsidiary of the Roque family’s Biancham Holdings.
Additionally, the committee previously issued an arrest warrant for Harry Roque, who is accused of hiding critical documents related to the investigation.
The committee has uncovered what it calls “overwhelming circumstantial evidence” tying Roque to illegal POGO operations, raising concerns about his significant wealth increase.
