QC NAMES TOP 9 STARTUP FINALISTS, GRANTS ₱1M EACH.

The Quezon City government has named nine professional startup finalists from nearly 70 applicants in its flagship innovation program, each set to receive ₱1 million in grants along with mentorship, capacity-building sessions, and investor network access.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the initiative, launched in 2022, aims to strengthen young entrepreneurs, boost the economy, and generate more jobs.

The finalists include Agapai, Kazam, Hireable, Laro, Soolok, Xamun, Kahero, Nascent Technologies, and Briyo Energy, all chosen for their potential to scale and impact communities.

Startups range from AI-powered hiring and health tools to renewable energy, sustainable batteries, and digital platforms for sports, retail, and property markets.

Belmonte emphasized that the program has already supported 16 startups across technology, sustainability, education, and the creative economy.
