The Quezon City government has raised the annual stipend for its senior high school and tertiary scholars, as well as for those in continuing education and vocational courses.
Under the new ordinance by Mayor Maria Josefina Belmonte, senior high school scholars will now receive P10,000, up from P4,000, while tertiary scholars’ stipends increase from P4,000 to P25,000.
Continuing education and vocational course scholars will see their stipends rise from P6,000 to P10,000. Belmonte emphasized that the increased funding is a strategic investment in the city’s future.
Online applications for new scholarships will open on August 5, with further information available on the Quezon City Youth Development Office’s Facebook page and the city government website.
