PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR RIDE-HAILING PARTY-LIST GROUP CLIMBS IN SURVEY

The ANGKASANGGA party-list has emerged as a strong contender in the May 12 elections, gaining support from millions of motorcycle riders and informal workers who feel underrepresented in policy discussions.

According to a recent OCTA Research survey, the party-list is climbing in trust rankings due to rising demand for policies that address the day-to-day needs of the 18 million Filipinos who rely on motorcycles for income, including delivery riders, habal-habal drivers, and tricycle operators.

Led by first nominee George Royeca, CEO of Angkas, the campaign advocates for practical solutions, such as the Motorcycle Taxi Law and the Delivery Riders’ Protection Act, to provide legal protections for these workers.

The party-list has also gained political backing from influential figures like the Recto family and former Manila mayor Isko Moreno.

Angkasangga’s grassroots approach, including town halls and consultations with riders across the country, has further strengthened its appeal among voters.
