President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared the Philippines’ recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and international conflicts during the New Year’s Vin D’ Honneur in Malacañang.
In a statement, he expressed confidence in the nation’s resilience against the pandemic and shocks from the Ukraine war and Middle East conflict.
The Palace highlighted catch-up spending, projecting a 6 to 7 percent economic growth target. Marcos cited reports from various organizations, stating that the Philippines is among the fastest-growing Asian countries.
Despite global conflicts, he urged sincere collaboration to address political issues and achieve peace and prosperity.
