The Philippines will host the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in 2025, as announced by Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president John Gutierrez.
The announcement was made during a press conference at Citadines Bay City in Pasay City, attended by FIFA officials Jaime Yarza, Kasra Haghighi, and Laura Cusco.
The tournament will feature 16 teams, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
The Philippines, already qualified as hosts, will be joined by teams from various regions including Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
Gutierrez expressed gratitude to FIFA and affirmed that the government would support the event to ensure its success.
