PHILIPPINE EXPORTS SET TO RISE IN 2026 ON GLOBAL DEMAND RECOVERY

Philippine merchandise exports rose 21.3 percent in November 2025 to $6.91 billion, driven by strong demand for electronics, agro-based products, and consumer goods, the Philippine Statistics Authority reported.

From January to November, exports totaled $77.40 billion, surpassing 2024’s full-year figure of $73.27 billion.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) expects this growth momentum to continue into 2026, citing signs of recovering global demand and growing international acceptance of Filipino products.

Trade Secretary Cristina Roque stated that the rise in exports supports jobs, incomes, and broader opportunities for local exporters.

Improved market access, including the US lifting reciprocal tariffs on key Philippine agricultural products, has also contributed to the export gains, DTI officials noted.
