PH TO HOST 6TH INDO-PACIFIC BUSINESS FORUM, EYES INVESTMENTS AND JOB CREATION

The upcoming 6th Indo-Pacific Business Forum (IPBF) in Manila, scheduled for May 21, is anticipated to attract significant foreign investments into the Philippines, fostering job creation and economic opportunities for Filipinos.

House of Representatives Speaker Martin Romualdez expressed optimism, expecting around 500 delegates, including business leaders and government officials, to convene and discuss various topics such as infrastructure, supply chain resilience, and clean energy.

Romualdez emphasized that the forum would propel economic growth by facilitating collaboration and highlighting the country’s appeal as an investment destination.

Co-hosted by the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the Philippine government, with support from the US Department of State, the event aims to strengthen international partnerships.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. extended an invitation to US business leaders during his keynote address at the Philippine-US Business Forum in Washington DC.

The IPBF serves as a key platform for promoting trade and economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, building upon the success of previous forums that attracted participants from over 60 countries.
