In the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, Meralco evened the series against Barangay Ginebra at 1-1 with a 103-91 victory on Sunday.
Coach Luigi Trillo emphasized a strategic approach, allowing Ginebra’s Christian Standhardinger to score a career-high 41 points while limiting other key players.
Allein Maliksi led Meralco with 25 points, supported by Chris Newsome’s 20 points, as the Bolts overcame a blown 17-point lead to secure the win.
The series now moves to Dasmariñas, Cavite for Game 3, where both teams are preparing for another intense matchup.
Trillo acknowledged the challenge ahead, expecting Ginebra to adapt and counter Meralco’s game plan.
