PARAÑAQUE DISTRIBUTES P3,000 SOCIAL PENSION TO INDIGENT SENIORS

Nearly 10,000 indigent senior citizens in Parañaque received P3,000 each in social pension benefits for the second quarter of 2026 under the government’s assistance program.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez led the distribution in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, covering beneficiaries from the city’s 16 barangays.

The quarterly pension, equivalent to P1,000 per month, is intended to help seniors meet basic needs such as food, medicine, and other daily expenses.

Olivarez said the increased monthly pension provides greater financial relief and vowed to expand the program to more qualified beneficiaries.

The city also continues to provide other benefits and services aimed at improving the welfare of senior citizens.
