PANGILINAN URGES STRICT PENALTIES FOR BUSINESSES IGNORING PWD DISCOUNT SIGNAGE

Former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan is calling on the government to enforce penalties against businesses that fail to display the required signages informing persons with disabilities (PWDs) about their 20% discount entitlement.

Pangilinan noted that many PWDs miss out on these benefits due to non-compliance with Republic Act No. 10754, which mandates visible signage in establishments.

He urged concerned agencies to strictly enforce this law to ensure PWDs receive their rightful discounts, especially with rising prices.

Pangilinan also emphasized the importance of adherence to this law for the benefit of PWDs.
