NU AND UST BEGIN SHAKEY’S SUPER LEAGUE CAMPAIGNS ON OPPOSITE NOTES

National University (NU) and University of Santo Tomas (UST) kicked off the 2024 Shakey’s Super League (SSL) National Invitationals with contrasting results. 

NU’s Lady Bulldogs, led by Vange Alinsug and Kaye Bombita, secured a decisive victory against Enderun Colleges in Pool A, winning 25-19, 25-15, 25-16. 

Despite resting key players Bella Belen and Arah Panique, NU showcased depth with contributions from newcomers like Celine Marsh. 

Coach Norman Miguel expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, aiming to build experience for younger players amid upcoming challenges.
