The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has reminded candidates in the upcoming May midterm elections not to place their campaign materials in schools during graduation ceremonies.
Comelec Chairman George Garcia warned that violators could face disqualification.
He emphasized that campaign materials are strictly prohibited on school premises.
Garcia also stated that while incumbent officials may attend graduation rites, they should focus on praising students rather than campaigning.
The campaign period for the elections runs until May 10.
